Apple Vision Pro, which supports both augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies, was launched in the US two weeks ago. Now, the Cupertino-based tech giant has released the VisionOS 1.0.3 software update for its mixed reality headsets, which includes several bug fixes and improvements. The update gives users the option to reset Apple Vision Pro if they forget their password. Previously, owners who lost their passcode had to visit an Apple Store or ship the passcode to AppleCare Customer Support to get their device back on. The software update comes a few weeks after the release of the VisionOS 1.0.2 update.

Apple released the VisionOS 1.0.3 update for the Vision Pro headset on Monday (February 12). The latest version provides the ability to reset your Vision Pro headset if you have forgotten the password set on your device. It also includes bug fixes and improvements. The latest build allows users to restore their headsets using their Apple ID password. Previously, users who lost their password had to take their Apple Vision Pro to an Apple Store or mail it to AppleCare Customer Support to get it working again.

New ‌visionOS‌ updates can be installed by going to: Settings app > Settings > General > Software Update.

VisionOS 1.0.3 software is the first VisionOS update provided by Apple since Vision Pro was released to customers. Apple has released version 1.0.2 of VisionOS ahead of the mixed reality headset hitting U.S. stores on February 2nd.

The Apple Vision Pro is priced starting at $3,499 (roughly Rs. 2,90,000) in the US, including 256GB storage. It is currently sold through U.S. Apple Store locations and the company’s web store. The space computer has two microOLED panels that support up to 100Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Apple’s M2 processor and the new R1 chip. The headset offers iris-based biometric authentication and is said to offer up to two hours of battery life on a single charge.
