Threads is finally testing a feature that has been heavily requested by users since the app launched last year. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the platform is testing new things. Today’s topic The section displays topics with the highest engagement. This function operates in real time based on an artificial intelligence (AI) system. Currently available to select users only in the United States. Today’s topic It seems similar to Soaring in popularity This is the page for X (formerly known as Twitter).

Zuckerberg said in a Threads post that the feature will be rolled out in more countries and more languages as it gets tweaked. Instagram head Adam Mosseri also shared a post detailing how. Today’s topic working. “The topic of today’s thread will appear on the search page and For You feed,” he said. Topics are determined by our AI system based on what people are currently engaged in in Threads.” Mosseri also shared a screenshot of how it appears in the app.

Adding a Search Page is somewhat similar visually to X’s Popular Pages. However, there are certain differences. In threads, there is no need to include hashtags or tags for popular topics. Topics appear as plain text with a title and what appears to be the top posts discussing that topic. According to Mosseri, the titles and topics themselves are chosen by AI. As a result, users don’t have to see confusing hashtags that sometimes don’t reveal the actual topic.

Another place it appears is on the For You page. Here it appears in a separate section between posts in a carousel format. This will appear similar to the Threaded Posts section you see in the Instagram app. In the screenshot shared by Mosseri, the title and top post appear in small rectangular boxes.

Threads recently started testing another feature that would allow users to bookmark posts. This feature works similarly to the one on Instagram and X. Just tap the save button to activate the feature. saved This section can be accessed from your profile by tapping the icon with two horizontal lines (Settings).
