The company’s third smartphone, Nothing Phone 2a, is expected to launch next month. The phone is expected to be launched as a cheaper version of the Nothing Phone 2 that was launched last year. Over the past few months, several details of the smartphone have been leaked online, giving us an idea of what to expect from the British startup’s next phone led by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. It is currently unclear whether Nothing Phone 2a will feature a Glyph interface on its rear panel.

A short video posted to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday confirmed nothing about the launch of the next smartphone. According to the company, Nothing Phone 2a will be launched on March 5 at 11:30 GMT (5:00 PM IST).

Meanwhile, a post on the company’s India-only X account confirms that the phone will be launched in India on the same date. The dynamic event page on the Nothing website also states that the smartphone can be purchased through Flipkart.

The teaser doesn’t mention any other details about the upcoming Nothing Phone 2a, but it does show two white dots flashing on a black background. This is replaced by the words “Fresh. Eyes”. Five pairs of white dots flash followed by a word. It could be speculated that the company might be referring to the rear camera setup of its next smartphone.

Previous leaks revealed that the Nothing Phone 2a will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chip and will run on Nothing OS 2.5 based on Android 14 out of the box. The phone is said to sport a 6.7-inch full HD+ (1,084 x 2,412 pixels) AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to feature a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup. More details about the smartphone are likely to be announced ahead of its launch.
