iQoo is expected to launch the Neo 9 Pro model in India on February 22nd. The company may soon launch other models in India as well. Leaks about the iQoo Z9 have surfaced online and the model has been spotted on several certification sites. The iQoo Z9 series was previously hinted at through leaked renders of known models. Although the name has not been confirmed or teased yet, we can assume that the successor to the iQoo Z8 lineup, the iQoo Z9 series, could also be launched in base and iQoo Z9x models.

According to a MySmartPrice report, the iQoo Z9 has been spotted in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database, hinting that its India launch is imminent. The listing didn’t reveal much, but it did show the phone with model number I2302, similar to the Bluetooth SIG listing. The iQoo Z9 handset is said to support Bluetooth 5.3 and 5G connectivity, as per the listing.

Tipster Digital Chat Station suggested in a Weibo post that the iQoo Z9 could launch with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. He added that the phone is expected to feature a 1.5K resolution OLED panel and a 6,000mAh battery. If true, it would be a significant upgrade over the previous iQoo Z8 model.

iQoo Z8 features a 6.64-inch IPS full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) LCD screen, MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, and 5,000mAh battery. For optics, the phone’s dual rear camera unit has a 64-megapixel primary sensor along with a 2-megapixel sensor, while the front camera has a 16-megapixel sensor. This model comes with OriginOS 3.0 based on Android 13 and supports 120W wired Ultra-Flash charging.

The iQoo Z9 series was previously seen in leaked design renders showing two models. Although the leak doesn’t clearly reveal the name of the lineup, it could include the basic iQoo Z9 model and the iQoo Z9x model, which are successors to the iQoo Z8 and iQoo Z8x handsets. The leaked model appeared to feature a textured gradient light blue back panel. Both the phones are seen to feature dual rear camera units with OIS support. One is a round camera module and the other is a square camera module. We expect to learn more about these handsets over the coming weeks.
