(Jeju = Larose.VIP) Reporter Kim Ho-cheon = A survey showed that Jeju Olle Trail completers perceived that their mental, physical, and social health had improved.

Jeju Olle Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Korean Health Association and the Korea Environmental Health Research Institute, conducted a survey of 2,000 Olle Trail runners from January 25 to 31, and based on the valid responses of 572 people, ‘The health of Jeju Olle Trail completers’ The ‘Effectiveness Survey Report’ was announced on the 14th.

According to the report, 97.2% responded that their mental health improved after completing the Olle Trail.

In particular, respondents in their 30s and younger had a relatively higher ‘experience rate of depression and stress reduction’ compared to other age groups.

71.7% of valid respondents felt that their health had improved after completing the Olle Trail and that their physical strength (endurance, muscle strength) had improved. The response that they lost weight also reached 44.7%.

In addition, many respondents said that physical discomfort they felt in daily life had improved, such as increased lung capacity, improved sleep disorders, reduced back and joint pain, reduced constipation, and intestinal health.

In the case of finishers in their 70s, the response of ‘I have a motivation for life’ was more than twice that of other groups, and three out of four finishers recognized that walking the Jeju Olle Trail had greater health benefits than regular walking.

Since the start of counting finishers in November 2012 until the 4th, a total of 22,737 runners have walked all 437km of Jeju Olle’s 27 courses, and it is understood that 400 to 500 finishers come out every month.

Eun-joo Ahn, CEO of Jeju Olle, said, “Through the survey, we have reaffirmed the power of walking,” adding, “We plan various Jeju Olle programs so that the mental, physical, and social changes experienced by runners can continue in their daily lives, bringing Jeju Olle closer to home.” “It will be a path,” he said.

Jeju Olle opened the Seoul Center on Understand Avenue in Seoul Forest in Seongsu-dong, which is considered a dynamic cultural space in Seoul, and held the ‘Now, Olle?’ event on the second Thursday of every month starting in March. Run the program.

This program is a program that helps those who cannot dare to walk alone enter the world of walking more easily through special lectures by Jeju Olle Chairman Myung-sook Seo and others.
