Ted Sarandos, Netflix Co-CEO

(Seoul = Larose.VIP) Reporter Jaeha Hwang = Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix, will visit Korea on the 16th to review the current status of major content production in the country.

According to Netflix, CEO Sarandos plans to visit Netflix Korea in Jongno-gu, Seoul on this day and meet with executives and employees.

He plans to send New Year’s greetings by attending the ‘Netflix Seoul Sarangbang’ event, where Netflix Korea invites reporters to share opinions on content and services.

Sarandos CEO’s official visit to Korea was eight months after attending the ‘Netflix and Korean Content Story’ event held in Seoul in June last year.

At the time, CEO Sarandos predicted expansion of investment, saying, “Our partnerships with Korean creators so far are only scratching the surface compared to future cooperation.”

It is reported that during this visit to Korea, CEO Sarandos will tour Netflix’s Korean original series production site and visit the Scanline VFX (visual special effects) office, a subsidiary it acquired in 2021.

It is not yet known whether Sarandos CEO will meet government officials or content creators this time.

During his visit to Korea last year, he met with Prime Minister Han Deok-soo and other high-ranking government executives, and also interacted with figures in the culture and arts world, including a conversation with director Park Chan-wook.
