The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to launch later this year along with the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which succeeds the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. The current foldable lineup was released in July 2023. The purported model is expected to feature significant upgrades compared to its predecessor. So far, several leaks have leaked details about the display that could be included in the upcoming phone. The company has also been tipped to launch a more affordable foldable smartphone. Now, a tipster claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could feature a flagship-level camera.

Tipster Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) claimed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that Samsung is considering including the same camera used in the Galaxy S24 Ultra in the Galaxy Z Fold 6. In the post, the tipster said, “The Fold6 has the same camera. Instead of reducing the battery capacity, it uses the sensor as the S24 Ultra,” but there may be a typo. Samsung gives the Galaxy Z Fold 6 a new and upgraded version compared to the previous model It could be ‘increased’ instead of ‘decreased’, which means they plan to provide a new main camera sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is equipped with a quad rear camera system with a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 10-megapixel camera.

In particular, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a 50-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera.

Previous leaks claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could feature a wider display and a thinner design. Compared to the previous model, the internal and external displays are larger. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 features a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex primary display and a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover panel.

Samsung Electronics launched the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 along with the Galaxy Tab S9 series and Galaxy Watch 6 series at the first Galaxy Unpacked event in Korea.
