If labor and management do not narrow their differences despite mediation, the Gino Committee decides to stop mediation, and in this case, the union secures the right to strike legally through a member vote.

The union claimed that employee wages were the lowest among Samsung affiliates and demanded a 12% increase in basic wages, expanded paid leave, and reform of the overtime pay system.

In response to this, the management is known to have stated that it cannot give an opinion on the agenda because the number of subscribers to the win-win union has not been objectively confirmed and therefore costs cannot be calculated.

The Win-Win Labor Union, which was established in May of last year, presents a list of 2,138 union members who have applied for membership online so far, which represents the majority of the total 4,250 employees of Samsung Bio, excluding employers, and the collective agreement also applies to non-union members. The union also announced that it plans to file a lawsuit at the end of this month, demanding that the company recalculate overtime allowances, which are calculated based on regular wages, in relation to the company’s inclusion of holiday travel expenses in regular wages starting in July of last year, and pay any unpaid portion for which the statute of limitations remains. .
