Geumcheon-gu Physical 100, Physical 100+ participant recruitment

(Seoul = Larose.VIP) Reporter Jeong Joon-young = Seoul Geumcheon-gu (district mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) will invite participants of ‘Physical 100’ and ‘Physical 100+’, which provide subsidies of up to 100,000 won for residents aged 19 to 49 years old if they participate in physical activities, on the 19th. It was announced on the 16th that recruitment will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at midnight on the 16th.

A district official said, “In Geumcheon-gu, the obesity rate among people in their 30s and 40s is 35.6%, which is higher than the average, and the rates of high-risk drinking, lack of physical activity, and imbalanced eating habits were also found to be higher than those of other age groups.” “We have prepared this project to support this,” he explained.

Physical 100 is a project that provides sports activity support funds of up to 100,000 won if a photo is verified after using sports facilities a total of 8 times over 4 weeks, twice a week. Applicable sports facilities include gyms, yoga, and swimming pools located in Geumcheon-gu. The recruitment target is 100 people aged 19 to 39 who are registered residents in Geumcheon-gu.

The district is expanding the support age to 49 and launching a new Physical 100+ project that helps with everything from exercise to diet management and mental health management. The target population is Geumcheon-gu residents aged 30 to 49, and their body mass index must be over 20% for men and 28% for women. The number of people recruited is 50.

If you are selected as a Physical 100+ candidate, you will undergo preliminary tests such as a metabolic syndrome test and body composition test. An 8-week exercise and nutrition education program is conducted based on basic physical data.

If you participate in more than 70% of the 8-week program, you will receive up to 100,000 won in sports activity support.

District Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon said, “Last year’s Physical 100 program was so popular that it closed on the same day as application,” and added, “We will continue to develop community-tailored health promotion programs to ensure the health of residents.”
