Ulsan Health and Environment Research Institute overview

(Ulsan = Larose.VIP) Reporter Heo Gwang-moo = The Ulsan City Health and Environment Research Institute announced on the 17th that the results of a water quality test on village water supplies and small water supply facilities in the Ulsan area last year showed that all water quality standards for drinking water were met.

This inspection was conducted on 200 cases of raw water and purified water from 186 village waterworks and small water supply facilities requested by five districts and counties last year.

The test items included up to 16 items for raw water, including total coliforms and total organic carbon, and up to 61 items for purified water, including total coliforms and fluoride.

The test results showed that all water met water quality standards and was safe to drink.

A village water supply facility refers to a facility that supplies purified water to a water supply population of 100 to 2,500 people, and a small water supply facility refers to a facility that supplies purified water to a water supply population of less than 100 people.

Currently, there are a total of 186 village water supply and small-scale water supply facilities in Ulsan, including 2 in Nam-gu, 4 in Dong-gu, 24 in Buk-gu, and 156 in Ulju-gun.
