‘Will the medical student alliance leave of absence become a reality?’

‘Will the medical student alliance leave of absence become a reality?’

(Daejeon = Larose.VIP) Reporter Chan-wook Jeong = On the 19th, a day before the joint leave of absence announced by medical students across the country in protest against the government’s policy to increase the number of medical school students, Chungnam National University medical school students began boycotting classes.

According to Chungnam National University, almost all first- to fourth-year students in the Department of Medicine did not participate in the class scheduled for that day.

It is reported that students are planning to submit a collective leave of absence report tomorrow.

Eulji University has not seen much movement, and Konyang University is on vacation.

It has been reported that no leave of absence requests have been received from any of the three universities to date.

An official from Konyang University said, “To take a leave of absence, you need a confirmation from your advisor and a parental consent form, and since tuition payment begins on the 26th, you can only apply for a leave of absence after that.”

Representative students from 35 of the 40 medical schools nationwide held an emergency meeting on the 15th and decided to take a leave of absence on the 20th.
