Honor MagicBook Pro 16 is expected to launch with refreshed hardware later this year. The Honor MagicBook Pro with a 16.1-inch display was first unveiled in 2020 with a variety of CPU options. With the 2024 refresh, the laptop is expected to feature upgraded specifications, including a more powerful processor. The company has teased the launch of a refreshed version of the Honor MagicBook Pro model at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona. The latest model is said to come with advanced AI-assisted features.

Honor announced in a post on Here’s the teaser: “Hey SAM & MAC, With Magic, one step connects all” takes a dig at rival brands Samsung and Apple, claiming their upcoming models are “smarter” than their market peers. We also introduce the Magic Link function, which connects smartphones, tablets, and PCs to enable seamless display mirroring and file sharing.

The company hasn’t revealed the design or core elements of the Honor MagicBook Pro 16, but hints at its AI-enabled advanced nature suggest that it may come with an Intel Core Ultra CPU. In December 2023, Intel announced its Core Ultra processor with a built-in neural processing unit (NPU) that it claims will enhance onboard AI capabilities. Since then, many major brands such as Acer, Samsung, HP, Asus, etc. have updated several models with these latest CPUs.

The 2020 model of the Honor MagicBook Pro is available in multiple CPU variants including AMD Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Ryzen 7 4800H, Intel Core i5-10210U, and Intel Core i7-10510U. It comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage. The laptop features a 16.1-inch full HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) IPS display and comes with Windows 10 Home.

The Honor MagicBook Pro is powered by a 56Wh battery and is said to offer up to 11.5 hours of battery life. It supports 65W fast charging and is said to be able to charge from 0% to 80% in 1 hour. Weighing 1.7kg, the laptop is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack, three USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, and one HDMI port.

The AMD Ryzen 5-based Honor MagicBook Pro 2020 was launched at CNY 4,699 (approximately Rs. 50,400), while the AMD Ryzen 7 variant was launched at CNY 5,199 (approximately Rs. 55,800). Meanwhile, the Intel Core i5 version of the laptop is priced at CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs. 63,800) at launch, while the Intel Core i7 variant is listed at CNY 6,699 (approximately Rs. 71,300).
