Singer Bangsil (real name Bangshil), who left behind hit songs such as ‘Seoul Tango’ and ‘First Tea’, passed away at a nursing hospital in Ganghwa, Incheon on the morning of the 20th.

According to the music industry on the 20th, Bangsil suffered a stroke in June 2007 and passed away on this day after struggling with the disease for 17 years.

Bangsil was active internationally as a person born in 1963. His younger brother said, “At home, my older sister was born in 1959, which is the year of the pig, and according to her resident registration, she was born in 1960.”

The deceased, who was from Gangwha Island, Incheon, began his career in the 8th US Army in the 1980s and formed the female trio Seoul Sisters with Park Jin-sook and Yang Jeong-hee in 1985.

With his refreshing singing ability, he made hits such as ‘First Train’, ‘Bat Horn’, and ‘Youth Train’.

After the disbandment of Seoul Sisters, Bangsil went solo in 1990 and enjoyed great popularity by releasing songs such as ‘Seoul Tango’ and ‘A Woman’s Heart’.

Bangsil, with his warm image and rich voice, said ‘What are you doing?’ and ‘Ah! It was also loved for its bright, cheerful and light dance songs such as ‘Sarubia’.

Bangsil continued to release new songs and was active in the 2000s, but suffered a stroke in June 2007 and has been struggling with the disease.

Last year, he appeared on TV Chosun’s ‘Star Documentary My Way’ and revealed that he was paralyzed from a stroke and almost lost his eyesight due to retinopathy caused by diabetes, causing regret. Take a look at the video.
