Ubisoft has released a new Invincible mobile game, an adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s hit comic book series and hit TV show. The studio released Invincible: Guarding the Globe, a free-to-play idle RPG, on Monday. The game is now available for iOS and Android devices and is also available on the Amazon store. The Invincible mobile game allows players to engage in squad-based combat and repel invading alien forces.

Invincible: Guarding the Globe is set in the world featured in the comic books and TV show and features characters such as Invincible, Atom Eve, Omni-Man, and more. Players can form a squad of up to five superheroes to take on invading hordes of Flaxans, Reanimen, and Magmanites. Ubisoft says players will need to choose their team carefully, maintaining a balance of attackers, defenders, and support heroes.

The mobile title’s story is thin, but the gameplay has a narrative context. As an agent of the Global Defense Agency, players will recruit and deploy heroes to defend Earth from new threats. Missions unfold in chapters, with each chapter offering new challenges, objectives, and rewards.

There is also an equipment system. Heroes can be equipped with up to 4 types of equipment items and 1 relic that can receive buffs. You can also upgrade your equipment to increase your hero’s stats. Players can also take on multiple battles simultaneously in the background and passively earn rewards over time.

The game is free to play but comes with in-app purchases and in-game currency, with starter packs and bundles listed on the Apple App Store starting at Rs. 499 and up to Rs. 9,990. Invincible: Guarding the Globe requires 225.5MB of storage space to play on iOS, but additional storage space may be required for downloadable content.

The game is currently out on both iOS and Android and can also be downloaded through the Amazon App Store.
