Kim Hyuk Jazz Talk Concert

(Seoul = Larose.VIP) Reporter Tae-su Lee = Saxophonist Hyuk Kim will hold a jazz talk concert ‘The Man Who Reads Jazz: From Louis Armstrong to La La Land’ at the main branch of Lotte Department Store in Seoul at 7 p.m. on the 29th.

This performance is an opportunity to kindly explain through performance and commentary what kind of music jazz is, how to listen to it, and the charms of each era and genre for audiences who are not familiar with jazz.

After serving as the principal saxophone member of the Absolute Classical Orchestra led by Hanna Jang, Hyuk Kim completed the Jas Jazz Academy Jazz Saxophone Performance Best Performer Course and the first jazz saxophone major in Korea to receive a doctorate in musicology.

Currently, he lectures at the Department of Applied Music at Sejong University and Incheon College of Talent, and serves as a professor of saxophone at Seokyeong University.

Kim Hyuk arranged famous jazz songs such as Louis Armstrong’s ‘What a Wonderful World’ and ‘Autumn Leaves’, as well as Yoo Jae-ha’s ‘Because I Love You’ and the movie ‘La La Land’ OST into jazz. Let me tell you.
