(Seoul = Larose.VIP) Reporter Kim Ki-hoon = In response to collective action in the medical community, the city of Seoul announced that it will extend weekday treatment at eight city hospitals until 8 p.m. from the 22nd and that emergency rooms at four hospitals will remain open 24 hours a day.

Among the 12 city hospitals, 8 hospitals (Seoul Medical Center, Boramae, Dongbu, Southwest, Northwest, Eunpyeong, Bukbu, and Children’s Hospital), excluding 3 psychiatric hospitals and dental hospitals for the disabled, extended their weekday treatment closing hours from 6 PM to 8 PM. do. However, Boramae Hospital will extend its weekday clinic hours from the 23rd.

Each hospital focuses on essential medical subjects such as family medicine, internal medicine, and surgery.

In addition, the city explained that the emergency rooms at Seoul Medical Center, Boramae Hospital, Dongbu Hospital, and Seonam Hospital provide 24-hour emergency medical services without disruption even if some residents resign.

Kim Tae-hee, director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Civil Health Bureau, said, “City hospitals are public medical institutions and bastions of citizen safety,” and added, “We will do our best to maintain medical services, such as extending weekday clinic hours and operating the emergency room 24 hours a day.”
