Airtel has announced a new plan to help its prepaid and postpaid users stay connected when traveling by air. The bundle will offer high-speed data, limited minutes of free calls and a limited number of free SMS services, the telecom service provider said. For those who don’t want to top up separately, the service is bundled with certain international roaming plans. Notably, Reliance Jio also offers similar packs for people traveling abroad on long-haul flights.

Airtel’s in-flight roaming plans start at a price of Rs. 195 for both prepaid and postpaid customers. All offers are valid for 24 hours. Both prepaid and postpaid users can get 250MB of data, 100 minutes of outgoing calls and 100 outgoing SMS for Rs. 195 plan. An upgrade to this is available at Rs. 295 gives you 500MB of data, 100 minutes of free calls and 100 outgoing SMS. The most expensive plan costs Rs. 595 for 1GB of data and the same call and SMS benefits. There is no difference in price or benefits between prepaid and postpaid plans.

In case users do not want to purchase separate recharge packs, Airtel is also bundling the same benefit with its international roaming plans. For those who purchase 50,000 won or more, prepaid plans worth 2,997 or more automatically receive 250MB of data, 100 minutes of free outgoing calls, and 100 SMS. Likewise, postpaid users who subscribe to international roaming bundles of Rs. For purchases over 3,999, you can receive the same benefits as prepaid customers.

Announcing these services, Airtel said it has partnered with Aeromobile, a UK-based in-flight communication service provider, to provide connectivity to users. The company claims that the service will be available to 19 airlines operating across various international sectors. The telecommunications service provider did not specify which airlines would be included, but it is likely that Aeromobile will be available on the airlines it serves.

Airtel also has several channels through which you can connect with the company’s support team onboard. Users can contact the dedicated WhatsApp number via phone call or text message. Inquiries and complaints are handled 24 hours a day through our contact center. To monitor data usage, purchase additional minutes or get real-time billing details, users can also log into the Airtel Thanks app.
