Meta announced earlier this week that it is launching Instagram Creator Marketplace in eight new regions, including India. The platform was first introduced in the US two years ago by Facebook’s parent company as a portal for brands to discover and contact creator accounts for branded content or partnership advertising. Instagram users who create content can also create portfolios of their posts and display brands or interests they are interested in.

In a blog post Wednesday, Meta announced that Instagram Creator Marketplace will be launching in eight new regions: Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Previously limited to creators in the United States, Meta will invite creators and brands in those countries to access the platform “over the coming weeks.”

The Instagram Creator Marketplace allows brands to view content creators who have registered to use the platform. You’ll also see follower count, engaged accounts, and audience demographic details. The portal allows businesses to filter creators based on gender, age, followers, country, interests, and portfolio. They can choose to ‘bookmark’ or send a message through the same page.

According to the company, these recommendations are currently being tested and will be available through the Instagram Creator Marketplace in the Meta Business Suite in the coming months.
