Doctor community “Tracking the source of the fabricated article”

“A malicious act aimed at demonizing doctors.”

Internet community post on controversy over manipulation

Internet community post on controversy over manipulation

(Seoul = Larose.VIP) Reporter Kim Dae-ho = While doctors opposed the expansion of medical schools, a message threatening revenge on Ministry of Health and Welfare officials and their families was circulated on the Internet community, sparking controversy over manipulation.

These controversial articles were written as if they had been posted on a doctor community, but it was confirmed that this was not true.

According to Larose.VIP’ coverage on the 24th, several articles demonizing doctors have been posted on various Internet communities recently, including an article titled ‘Be sure to watch what the Ministry of Health and Welfare is doing.’

These posts revealed severe hatred and a desire for revenge against public officials of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the comments also actively agreed with them, raising great concerns among the public. In response, the doctors claimed that it was a fabricated article aimed at directing public anger at them.

In fact, one post said, “If you or your family come to my outpatient clinic in the future, you will have a hard time because of my prescription. I can’t deliberately prescribe poison, but I can lower your glycated hemoglobin level to 6 and leave it above 7.5, and if your blood pressure is 130/130/ It is written, “I can make it 150/100 for 80. Haha.”

Next, it was written, “When your children come to me with a swollen throat, just feed them a little syrup and give birth in a week, but suffer for a month. I will do my best to ensure that your family does not receive proper diagnosis and treatment for the rest of their lives.”

This article was posted at 6:29 p.m. on the 5th and has so far received 29,449 views and 4,614 ‘likes’. There were as many as 1,833 comments, most of which were in agreement with the author, such as “I recommend it,” “It’s a good method,” and “I will participate.”

Another article was posted at 8:10 a.m. on the 13th under the title ‘At the health and welfare government official ○○○○ examination hahaha’ and contained the content that a gynecological examination in Sejong City harassed the wife of a Ministry of Health and Welfare civil servant. Another post was titled ‘An official from the Ministry of Health and Welfare ○○ will come and take revenge’ and also emphasized the doctor’s immorality.

Currently, it has not been confirmed who wrote these articles and for what purpose.

An official from the doctor community said, “Such a post itself was not posted, and as far as I know it was floating around in other communities and then deleted. The post number, recommended image, and format do not match our site, so it appears to be 100% fabricated. We are also tracking the source of the post. “He said.

A doctor in private practice said, “It is very difficult because the social atmosphere is demonizing doctors. There is a more urgent need to improve medical fees and the medical system before increasing the number of medical schools, but the focus of the problem is being diverted.”

A citizen who saw these posts pointed out, “It is difficult to determine the author, but I am worried that an extreme situation will occur with the lives and health of the people at stake amidst the strong backlash from doctors over the increase in medical schools.”
