This is to ensure that severe emergency patients receive prompt treatment in the emergency room, and to encourage mild and non-emergency patients to use nearby hospitals and clinics.

The hospitals and clinics selected were focused on five medical departments, including cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and pediatrics, which can place a burden on the emergency room due to visits by mild and non-emergency patients.

The province urged patients with mild symptoms or non-emergency cases to use hospitals and clinics near their homes.

The status of emergency medical institutions equipped with emergency rooms can be checked in real time on the Provincial Government website, the emergency medical portal (www.e-gen.or.kr), and the mobile app ‘Emergency Medical Information (e-gen)’.

As the health care disaster crisis alert was raised from ‘alert’ to ‘severe’, the province’s highest level, the previous day, the province began operating emergency treatment measures in earnest, maintaining a 24-hour treatment system at 73 emergency medical institutions and 21 emergency medical facilities. .

Six hospitals affiliated with Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center will extend treatment hours until 8 p.m. on weekdays and gradually promote treatment on weekends and holidays.

Establish an emergency contact network with city and county public health centers, fire departments, emergency medical institutions, and police, and check the status of emergency medical institutions to prepare for dispersed transfer of emergency patients.

As of the 22nd, it was calculated that 1,568 residents at 33 of the 40 residency training hospitals in the province had submitted resignation letters. This is 67.6% of the 2,321 majors in the Gyeonggi region.
