(Berlin = Larose.VIP) Correspondent Kim Gye-yeon = The film ‘It’s Okay, It’s Okay!’ directed by director Kim Hye-young won the Best Picture award given by the Children’s Jury at the 74th Berlin Film Festival.

The Generation K Plus category judges announced on the 24th (local time) that they had selected ‘It’s Okay, It’s Okay!’ as the winner of the Crystal Bear Award.

The judges said, “Through the brave protagonist, we took a humorous and touching roller coaster ride. We learned about the process of two completely different characters discovering each other and that perfectionism should not determine life,” and “It gave insight into an unfamiliar culture.” “I particularly liked one dance scene,” he said.

‘It’s Okay, It’s Okay!’ is the story of In-young (played by Lee Re), a high school student who was kicked out due to lack of rent and lives with strict art director Seol-ah (played by Jin Seo-yeon).

This is the feature film debut of director Kim Hye-young, who directed the drama ‘Melodious Constitution’, and was first screened at the Busan International Film Festival last year.

The winner of the Crystal Bear Award in the Generation K Plus category, which presents coming-of-age films, is selected by a jury consisting of seven children aged 11 to 14 living in Berlin, Germany.

The Best Picture Award, which is selected by an international jury separately from the children’s jury, went to ‘Reinas’, directed by Swiss director Claudia Reinicke.
