Minister Kang Jeong-ae visits Central Veterans Hospital

Minister Kang Jeong-ae visits Central Veterans Hospital

(Seoul = Larose.VIP) Reporter Park Soo-yoon = The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs announced on the 25th that it will urgently inspect the emergency treatment systems of six veterans hospitals across the country as the medical gap due to medical residents leaving hospitals is increasing day by day.

Currently, veterans hospitals across the country have been operating a 24-hour emergency care system including emergency rooms and intensive care units since the 20th, and specialists instead of residents are on duty in wards and emergency rooms.

If treatment at the Veterans Affairs Hospital is not possible, you can use a referral hospital. A list of consignment hospitals can be found on the websites of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the Korea Veterans Welfare and Medical Service.

Veterans Affairs Trust Hospital is a private medical institution that has been entrusted with medical treatment so that veterans living in areas where there is no Veterans Affairs hospital or who live far away can use medical services nearby. There were 627 locations nationwide as of September last year.

The Veterans Affairs Hospital, a public medical institution, mainly treats veterans of national merit and their families, but is also open to the general public.

Minister Kang Jeong-ae will visit Daejeon Veterans Hospital on the 27th and Daegu Veterans Hospital on the 28th, while Vice Minister Lee Hee-wan will visit Busan Veterans Hospital on the 26th and Incheon Veterans Hospital on the 28th.

Minister Kang said, “We will utilize all available resources to ensure that there are no disruptions in the treatment of citizens, including veterans.”
