Manchester United and Tottenham are both vying for a move for the Dutch midfielder, who could cost at least €60m, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to field a new managerial offer and Mason Greenwood has become one of the targets. The world’s best managers – all gathered at Euro Paper Talk on Wednesday.

MAN UTD VS Spurs for Dutch midfielders

Manchester United and tottenham Both ‘on the move’ for Atalanta Toon Coupminus The prospect of a bidding war has already frustrated Juventus, according to the report.

Both the Red Devils and Spurs currently have question marks in midfield. Players like Kobbie Mainoo, Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr are guaranteed starters. However, the futures of Christian Eriksen, Sofian Amrabat and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in particular remain in serious uncertainty after the summer.

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, both British heavyweights have joined Juventus to join 25-year-old Kupmeiners.

The Netherlands international can play in a variety of midfield roles, including defence, box-to-box and attack. Kupmeiners has typically been deployed in a senior role this season and has contributed eight goals in 19 Serie A appearances.

The report states that United and Tottenham are ‘ready to compete’ with Juve, but the Italian side may not put up much of a fight.

Atalanta are hoping to raise at least €60m for their star midfielder, a price tag that could prove too much for Juventus. Obviously, Atalanta’s chances of generating the target fee will depend on a bidding war between United and Spurs.

However, both clubs are reportedly firmly in the race to sign the player and are ‘progressing’ a deal as we speak.

United’s interest is said to be rooted in Dutch manager Erik Ten Hag. The Manchester United manager has been labeled a ‘huge admirer’ of his fellow countryman and could form a long-term partnership with Kobe Mainu.

Meanwhile, Tottenham hoped to sign Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher in the winter transfer window, but ultimately fell short.

Gallagher remains a long-term target for Ange Postecoglou, but Koopmeiners could represent a more obtainable, if not less expensive, option.

As for Koopmeiners themselves, Tuttosport claim that they have decided that the coming summer is the right time to make the leap to a top club.
