Liverpool are trying to sign two Euro 2024 stars for a combined €60m, Arne Slot has chosen his successor for Alisson, Tottenham are looking to sign a Real Madrid striker for €40m and details have been revealed as to why Manchester United rejected Lazio’s first-round bid for Mason Greenwood.

Slot in Clear, Bringing Kimmich to Liverpool

Liverpool have jumped to the front of the queue to sign Joshua Kimmich after strong reports emerged that Arne Slot had expressed a positive view of the Bayern Munich bargain.

A new era is dawning at Anfield, and Slot fills the huge position left vacant by Jurgen Klopp at the end of last season. And with the Dutchman spending, the new Liverpool manager is aiming to bring in a new left-back and holding midfielder to the top of his wish list.

Now, Spain and Germany are boldly claiming that their first new signing for Liverpool is Kimmich.

The versatile star is currently playing for his country at Euro 2024, with an exciting quarter-final clash against Spain next on the agenda.

However, his future at club level is expected to be decided in the coming days as Slot and Co have finalised a deal for the 29-year-old star, who can play in either a defensive midfielder or right-back role.

His contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire in the summer of 2025 and the Bundesliga side have set a fee of €30m (£25.5m) for him as the player considers a move.

The two teams’ main rivals were Barcelona and Manchester City, and new Blaugrana manager Hansi Flick was particularly keen to reunite with the player at the Camp Nou.

However, Flick’s hopes of signing his former club player have been dealt a major blow as Liverpool are now ‘leading the race’ to sign him.

According to reports, Liverpool are prepared to meet Bayern’s asking price and are set to sign Kimmich on a three-year contract worth around £100,000-a-week.

Liverpool transfers: Slot, Allison eyeing Mamardashvili as successor

Liverpool manager Slot is also interested in signing a new goalkeeper at Anfield, with Kaiomin Kelleher set to leave the club and Adrian set to return to first club Real Betis.

Speculation continues over Allison Becker’s future, with TEAMtalk exclusively revealing that Al Nassr are continuing their push to sign the Brazilian.

He has every intention of staying with the Reds for at least one more season, and with his contract not expiring until 2027, it’s possible he could be headed for another team in the near future.

As a result, the Slots are said to be looking to bring in a top-class goalkeeper who can not only compete for Allison’s first-team shirt, but can also be trusted as a long-term successor.

And according to reports from Spain, the player at the top of the wanted list is Valencia’s impressive Georgian goalkeeper, Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Newcastle saw a €25m bid for the Georgia first-team player rejected this summer, with the club pushing for Odysseas Vlachodimos from Nottingham Forest instead.

As a result, Liverpool will now be keen to sign the 23-year-old, with Los Che reportedly demanding a fee in the region of €30 million for the goalkeeper.

Mamardashvili showed his quality in Georgia’s historic run to the last 16 of Euro 2024 this summer, and the goalkeeper was again in the spotlight against Spain on Sunday. Mamardashvili has lost four times to La Roja, but the 6ft 6in keeper can’t be blamed for any of the goals.
