Lovesome Festival
(Seoul = Larose.VIP) Reporter Choi Jae-seo = This spring, a music festival spanning various genres such as jazz, hip-hop, and band awaits performance enthusiasts.
If you want to enjoy music quietly, the LOVESOME festival held at Seoul Olympic Park 88 Lawn and KSPO Dome from April 27th to 28th is the perfect place.
This festival, now in its 6th year, selects a book every year and performs with that as a subtitle.
Author Muun’s illustrated essay ‘Collecting Heart Drops’ was selected for this festival. Until last year, participating authors had been holding book talks, but this year’s program has not been decided.
On the 27th, the first day of the Lovesome Festival, the sweet-voiced Melomance, Ha Hyun-sang, and Jeong Se-woon will appear on the stage at 88 Lawn Yard.
Popular solo singers such as Sam Kim, who boasts an emotional voice, Nam Woo-hyun, and Juk-jae will also perform at the KSPO Dome on the same day.
On the second day, Roy Kim, Park Won, Choi In-kyung, Dear Cloud, Yoo Chae-hoon, and Lee Seung-yoon are scheduled to fill the stage.
Hip Hop Playa Lineup
A festival that will excite hip-hop fans also comes with the start of May.
The HIPHOPPLAYA festival, held at Nanji Hangang Park in Seoul from May 4 to 5, is attracting attention with its spectacular lineup.
On the first day, performances will include ZICO from Block B, who is also active as a producer, Dynamic Duo who has released numerous hit songs, and Giriboy with his attractive voice.
You can also see the stages of pH-1, who became a hot topic by featuring various artists’ songs, and MZ rapper Lee Young-ji, who received a lot of love for her entertainment appearances.
The next day, there are also performers who are doing their bit in the hip-hop scene, including E-Sens, Changmo, Ash Island, and Kid Milli.
Beautiful Mint Life, one of the representative spring festivals, cannot be missed.
This year, it will be held for two days, May 11th and 12th, at the 88 Lawn Yard, SK Handball Stadium, and Lake 88 Waterside Stage at Seoul Olympic Park.
This festival, which has been held consistently since 2010, features not only singer-songwriters with emotional vocals but also hot bands these days.
On the first day of the festival, singer-songwriters 10CM and Peppertones, and bands Daybreak and SURL are scheduled to add excitement.
On the second day, the 12th, singers with a solid fan base such as Phil Kim, Lee Isaac Hong, Seungyoon Lee, and Colde will appear. There are also performances by the most notable bands such as LUCY and Touched.

At the end of May, popular pop stars and jazz musicians visit Korea to ease the disappointment of letting go of spring.
The Seoul Jazz Festival, which celebrates its 16th anniversary this year, will be held at Seoul Olympic Park for three days from May 31 to June 2. 88 Lawn Yard, KSPO Dome, SK Handball Stadium, and 88 Lake Waterside Stage will all become jazz performance venues.
Pop star Lauv, who is gaining popularity by singing the OST of the movie ‘Elemental’, will appear on stage as the headliner (representative performer) on the first and last days, respectively.
World-renowned jazz vocalist Melody Gardo, who is visiting Korea for the first time in 14 years, Generation Z pop icon Gayle, and emotional pop leader Jeremy Zucker, are also expected to heat up the festival.
You can also see performances by unique performers such as Sonic Wonder, a quartet led by Hiromi Uehara, who served as music director for the movie ‘Blue Giant’, and Caravan Palace, a French band that is attracting attention for its electro swing.
Domestic artists such as Paul Kim, Jannabi, Kiha Jang, Card the Garden, and Zion.T will perform on stage.

The World DJ Festival, where you can see spectacular performances by world-class DJs, and the Weversecon Festival, a music festival hosted by Hive, will be held on June 15th and 16th, respectively.
