‘Queen of Tears’ leads weekend drama with 16%
Last episode of drama ‘Wonderful World’
(Seoul = Larose.VIP) Reporter Hwang Jae-ha = The drama ‘Wonderful World’ starring Kim Nam-joo and Cha Eun-woo ended with a viewership rating of around 9%.
According to Nielsen Korea on the 14th, the final episode of ‘Wonderful World’ aired by MBC the previous afternoon recorded a viewership rating of 9.2%. This is lower than its highest viewer rating of 11.4% recorded on the 12th.
The last broadcast depicted the process by which the truth about presidential candidate Kim Jun (Park Hyuk-kwon), the culprit behind everything, was revealed to the public through the efforts of Eun Soo-hyun (played by Kim Nam-joo) and Kwon Seon-yul (Cha Eun-woo).
Kim Jun conceals all evidence that he is the real culprit who killed Eun Soo-hyun’s son Geon-woo, but Eun Soo-hyun’s husband and reporter Kang Su-ho (Kim Kang-woo) reveals all the information about Kim Jun that Su-hyeon and Kwon Seon-yul have collected on the air.
This leads to Kim Jun’s arrest and happiness returns to everyone who suffered misfortune as a result. The story ends six years later, with Eun Soo-hyun taking care of the children at an orphanage, and Kwon Seon-yul continuing his studies, which he had put off due to revenge, to become a doctor.
‘Wonderful World’, a 14-part drama, is a drama about writer Eun Soo-hyun’s process of uncovering the truth of the incident after wrongfully losing her son in a car accident.
Kim Nam-joo, who has made numerous successful dramas, became a hot topic by starring in the lead role with Cha Eun-woo, and left a high viewership rating of up to 11% amid fierce weekend viewership competition. However, it was also pointed out that the scenes dealing with the characters’ emotions were too long and the plot was slow.
Meanwhile, tvN’s ‘Queen of Tears’, which aired on the same day, recorded a viewership rating of 16.8% and maintained its leading position. KBS’ ‘Beauty and the Pure Man’ viewership rating was 14.4%, JTBC’s Coupang Play original drama ‘Hyde’ recorded 4.3%, and SBS’ ‘Seven Resurrection’ recorded 2.4%.
