The Nothing Phone 2a, the third smartphone from the UK-based brand, was unveiled in March. Now Nothing is releasing another software update with more camera improvements. The latest Nothing OS 2.5.5 brings the April 2024 security patch along with system stability and performance upgrades. The UK-based startup announced the release of Nothing OS 2.5.5 for Nothing Phone 2a in a post on X on Monday. The new firmware update includes new camera features, some general improvements, bug fixes, and Google’s April security patch. .
According to the changelog, Nothing OS 2.5.5 improves camera color saturation and speeds up camera loading on the Phone 2a. Optimizes blur accuracy and ensures overall clarity in Portrait mode. This update improves the Google Assistant waking experience and optimizes pop-up viewing animations. The latest build claims to have improved the overall smoothness and gaming performance of the handset.
Even some known bug fixes with the latest software releases don’t fix it. Addresses a compatibility issue with some third-party launchers on Phone 2a. Nothing OS 2.5.5 fixes stability issues with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. The firmware update fixes an issue with the night light feature on the lock screen. Software updates include system stability improvements.
