Manchester United are eyeing a groundbreaking £233m triple coup for three giants, Liverpool have entered Arsenal’s territory to secure the 38-goal striker and Manchester City ace Cristiano Could form a lethal new tandem with Ronaldo. All of this happens on a Tuesday. Euro Paper Talk.

Ratcliffe’s Revolution

According to a bombshell report, Manchester United are eyeing a spectacular triple raid to overhaul their defence, midfield and attack for £233m.

A huge summer is ahead at Old Trafford, with big changes expected in Manchester United’s squad.

Sofian Amrabat will return to Fiorentina at the end of his loan spell. Elsewhere, Tom Heaton, Brandon Williams, Jonny Evans, Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial are out of contract this summer.

According to the Manchester Evening News, offers are expected to be received for players such as Alvaro Fernandez, Donny van de Beek, Hannibal Mejbri, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Facundo Pellistri. Antony is another person who found out that TEAMtalk could leave if he received the right offer.

Additions are needed at centre-half, central midfield and final third. According to one notable report from Spain (cited by Sports Mole): Manchester United They will turn to Europe’s top leagues to fill the void.

It is claimed that three huge contracts are on the agenda. Alessandro Bastoni (Inter Milan), frenkie de jong (Barcelona) and Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich).

According to the report, the contracts of Bastoni (€80m) De Jong (€70m) and Musiala (€120m) cost a combined €270m. This is now equivalent to a whopping £233 million.

Heavyweight rivalry between De Jong and Musiala

Bastoni, 25, is expected to be signed as Lisandro Martinez’s long-term partner. Both players are left-footed, but that hasn’t stopped Manchester United from keeping an eye on Everton’s left-footer Jarrad Branthwaite.

United have been chasing De Jong for a month in Erik ten Hag’s first window of 2022.

Admitting defeat, the Red Devils selected Adrien Rabiot and then finally Casemiro as option three.

Manchester United and Ten Hag in particular remain big fans of the classy Dutchman. Reports in Spain have suggested that De Jong could be the perfect foil for Kobbie Mainoo in the double pivot.

Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern Munich are also eyeing De Jong’s position once it becomes clear he is open to a new challenge.

According to Plettenberg, the biggest barrier to Bayern’s path to a deal is De Jong’s ‘very high net salary’. Manchester United are no strangers to paying huge salaries.

Moreover, Barcelona’s well-documented financial woes will force them to sell one or two of their biggest stars this summer.

Barcelona have tried to push De Jong out in the past and could do the same this time. The report lists the 26-year-old as being valued at €70 million.

Finally, Musiala will be the crown jewel of United’s triple raid and will break the club’s transfer fee record at €120m/£103.5m. United’s most expensive transfer fee ever was the £89.3m they paid to bring back Paul Pogba in 2016.

Musiala could shatter Bayern’s dreams

The Guardian recently revealed that nearby Man City are targeting Musiala in a bid to liven up an attack that has taken a step back this season.

Naturally, Bayern are extremely reluctant to lose a player who could be a cornerstone of the team for the next decade.

Against X last Friday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported:

“A new contract proposal containing significant salary increases and additions will be submitted shortly.

“Top clubs in England and Spain continue to follow Jamal. But there is no conversation now.”

Musiala’s existing contract expires in the summer of 2026. However, according to the Guardian, Bayern could face an uphill struggle in persuading Musiala to sign a new contract.

Bayern handed over 11 years of dominance in the Bundesliga to Bayer Leverkusen two weeks ago. They reached the Champions League semi-finals but have not reached the final since 2020.

The report therefore concludes that Bayern may face resistance as they attempt to convince Musiala of his level of ambition.

Once it becomes clear that Musiala wants a new challenge, a sale this summer would make sense to maximize Bayern’s profits while the player still has two years left on his contract.
