Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is likely to return to Ajax if he is sacked by Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Arsenal and Manchester City will have to move quickly to sign Newcastle star Bruno Guimaras, while Chelsea are chasing France’s top-class goalkeeper. It’s all in Friday’s edition of Euro Paper Talk.

10 HAGs to rejoin AJAX

Manchester United Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe appears to have decided that Erik ten Hag will not remain at Old Trafford beyond this season.

INEOS chiefs have already begun drawing up a list of potential candidates to replace the Netherlands coach, with Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi and Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel among the admirers.

A return to the Premier League is attractive to Tuchel and he would jump into the Manchester United managerial role, according to reports. The Red Devils will decide on their ideal next manager in the coming weeks.

The uncertainty surrounding Ten Hag’s future has attracted the attention of his former club Ajax, who are in the process of finding their next permanent manager.

The Dutch side have endured a disappointing season under interim coach John vant Schiff, and ten Hag is one candidate they are seriously considering.

The Manchester United manager guided Ajax to three league titles and a Champions League semi-final during his time at the club, which ultimately led to his move to Old Trafford.

Ajax interested in Ten Hag and Graham Potter

According to Dutch outlet De Telegraaf, Ten Hag is included in the final ‘three-man shortlist’ to become Ajax’s next manager, along with former Chelsea manager Graham Potter and Nice’s Francesco Farioli, who is targeting Champions League qualification in France.

It has been reported that Porter has already received a ‘first offer’ from Ajax, but turned it down as he did not meet salary expectations.

Ironically, Manchester United executives are considering Porter as a replacement for Ten Hag.

The European giants are now ready to offer Ten Hag the role if he steps down as Man Utd manager.

The 54-year-old coach is thought to have until the end of the season to prove to Ratcliffe that he has what it takes to lead the club into a new era.

The Red Devils currently sit in a disappointing sixth place in the Premier League table and will miss out on Champions League qualification this season.

Winning the FA Cup final against rivals Manchester City may be the only way to get Ten Hag sacked at this stage.
