WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for all iOS users that brings minor interface changes and adds new features to its video calling feature. The new update was released on Monday and is available to all iPhone users as it is a global stable version. Users can search for WhatsApp on the App Store to find the update. The new update is rolling out green buttons and interface design broadly and adding redesigned interface elements.

The new WhatsApp for iOS update brings the build version to 24.9.74. All supported iPhone models can be installed as soon as they are released. The update was shipped in batches, so some users may receive the update after a delay of several days. According to WhatsApp, the new feature will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.

Notably, this update adds a green button and notification icon for all iOS users. The instant messaging platform first began experimenting with the feature last month. It has also been released to many Android users over the past few weeks. After the update, the New Messages button and new Group, Contact, and Community icons will appear green. Unread message notifications and the number of unread messages displayed next to your chat list will also appear in green. Green was already the default theme for Night Mode, but now the color is brighter. Colors will also be visible to users who use the app in lighting mode.

Additionally, the new WhatsApp update also brings redesigned icons across the app. This was also seen in previous beta updates and is now rolling out to all users. With this interface redesign, the platform now uses consistent icons across Android, iOS, and web interfaces.

Lastly, the company is also adding audio support for the screen sharing feature in video calls. Previously, when sharing your screen through an app, other participants couldn’t hear the audio playing on your device; instead, they could only hear external audio captured through the microphone. Users can now listen to both audio channels together. This feature was recently added to the Android platform in the app as well.
