The Oppo Reno 12 series is the successor to the Oppo Reno 11 lineup and is expected to launch later this month. The company has announced the launch date for its new lineup in China. Oppo has also confirmed that the lineup will include the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro. The company even revealed the rear panel design of the phone. Oppo confirmed in a Weibo post that the Oppo Reno 12 series will launch in China on May 23 at 4pm local time (1:30pm IST). It is being teased that it will come in a ‘Silver’ look, which suggests that the phone will be launched in a silver finish. The company also revealed the rear panel design of the upcoming phone.

The Oppo Reno 12 comes in a silver shade while the Oppo Reno 12 Pro comes in a purple color. Both phones have a glossy, shiny finish and feature an oval-shaped rear camera module in the top left corner.
Oppo has not shared any other details about the phone. However, another social media post teased that the Reno 12 series “offers unexpected and innovative ways to take photos.” Oppo also introduced the Oppo Enco Air 4 Pro with up to 44 hours of battery life. There is no confirmed release date for these true wireless earbuds, but they may be revealed when the Reno 12 launches.
The base Oppo Reno 12 model is expected to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8250 SoC, while the Pro variant is said to feature MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset. Both the handsets are likely to feature a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit.
Oppo Reno 12 Pro is expected to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz 1.5K display and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging. It is also expected to be equipped with a 50-megapixel front camera sensor and a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor along with a 50-megapixel portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom.
Oppo Reno 11 5G and Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G were launched in India in January this year. The Pro model is priced at Rs. 39,999 for the 12GB + 256GB option, the base price starts from Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant.
