The Vivo A footnote on the phone’s promotion page says it will be available starting the first week of June. The flagship product will be the first Vivo foldable smartphone to be launched outside the brand’s home country of China. Announced in China last March, the biggest features of this product are Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, Zeiss brand camera, and 5,700mAh battery.
Vivo has set up a dedicated microsite on its Indian website to announce the launch of Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. The disclaimers section of this official listing says it will be released on June 6th. This confirms previous leaks. However, the brand has not yet revealed the release date.
The microsite confirms the Celestial Black color for the India variant of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. The carbon fiber hinge of the device is rated for 5,00,000 folds. The handset features Google-powered Gemini AI with features like AI note support, AI script support, and AI screen translation. It was confirmed that when folded, the thickness was 11.2mm and the weight was 236g. It will be sold through Flipkart.
Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is the first foldable smartphone to be launched in global markets outside of China. Vivo’s X series foldable smartphones have maintained a domestic exclusive since their launch.
The Vivo In China, it runs on Android 14 with OriginOS 4. It features an 8.03-inch primary 2K (2,200×2,480 pixels) AMOLED display and a 6.53-inch (1,172×2,748 pixels) AMOLED cover display. The phone runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage. It features a Vivo V3 imaging chip and a carbon fiber hinge.
As for optics, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel main camera. Vivo has also provided a 32-megapixel selfie shooter on the external and internal screens for selfies. The phone is backed by a 5,700mAh lithium battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
