Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro were launched in China on Thursday, May 23. The smartphone features a quad curved display and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit along with a 50-megapixel front camera. It comes with ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 and offers an IP65 rating. Oppo Reno 12 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed ​​​​Edition chipset while Reno 12 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed ​​​​Edition SoC. Both phones are currently available for pre-order and will go on sale in China later this month.

The base Oppo Reno 12 is priced at CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs. 31,000) in the Chinese market for the 12GB + 256GB option, while both the 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 256GB models are priced at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 34,500). The top-end 16GB + 512GB version is priced at CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs. 36,800).

Meanwhile, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro is priced starting at CNY 3,399 (roughly Rs. 39,000) for the 12GB + 256GB option. The 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB configurations are priced at CNY 3,699 (approx. Rs. 42,500) and CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs. 46,000), respectively.

Both smartphones are currently available for pre-order in China through Oppo’s official website and other online retailers. It will be sold in Korea starting May 31.

The vanilla Oppo Reno 12 is available in Ebony Black, Millennium Silver, and Soft Peach (Chinese translation) color options. The Reno 12 Pro, on the other hand, is available in Champagne Gold, Ebony Black, and Silver Magic Purple (Chinese translation) colors.

The base Oppo Reno 12 is powered by 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed ​​​​Edition SoC, while the Pro version has MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed ​​​​Edition chipset. The phone comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. It comes with ColorOS 14 based on Android 14.

As for optics, both the Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro feature a 50-megapixel main sensor along with a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 20x digital zoom and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter. The difference is that the base Oppo Reno 12 is equipped with a Sony LYT-600 primary sensor, while the Reno 12 Pro is equipped with a Sony IMX890 main sensor. Both phones also feature a 50-megapixel front camera.

Oppo has equipped both Oppo Reno 12 handsets with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. The phone also supports 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and USB Type-C connectivity. Both phones feature an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
