Honor Magic 6 and Honor Magic 6 Pro were launched in China in January. Now, the Chinese tech brand seems to be gearing up to unveil its flagship series in India. Honor phones are sold in India through HTech, but the launch of the new Magic series is yet to be confirmed. Ahead of the official announcement, a tipster suggested a potential release date for the phone. Honor Magic 6 and Honor Magic 6 Pro run on MagicOS 8.0 skin and are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It has an LTPO OLED display and triple rear cameras.
Honor Magic 6 series launched in India
According to a tweet from tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz), the Honor Magic 6 series will be arriving in India soon. Honor Magic 6 Pro is said to be released in Korea in July.
Expectations for the launch of the Honor Magic 6 series in India have been high since March. Last March, HTech CEO Madhav Sheth teased its launch with X. He posted images of the Honor Magic 6 Ultimate and Porsche Design Magic 6 RSR, giving a hint about their domestic launch. He also recently announced the imminent launch of the Honor Magic V2 foldable phone in India.
Honor Magic 6 Series Price, Specifications
The Honor Magic 6 series was announced in the brand’s home country last January. The brand has since expanded its lineup by introducing the Porsche Design Magic 6 RSR and Magic 6 Ultimate variants.
The price of the Honor Magic 6 starts at CNY 4,399 (approximately Rs. 50,000) for the 12GB + 256GB RAM model. Meanwhile, the base 12GB + 256GB model of the Honor Magic 6 Pro is priced at CNY 5,699 (roughly Rs. 65,000). It was introduced at MWC last February.
Honor Magic 6 series runs on MagicOS 8.0 skin based on Android 14 and is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It has an LTPO OLED display and triple rear cameras. The vanilla model has a 6.78-inch screen, and the Pro version has a 6.8-inch screen. The former has a 50-megapixel main camera, and the latter has a 180-megapixel periscope sensor.
The Honor Magic 6 is equipped with a 5,450 mAh battery, while the Pro model is equipped with a 5,600 mAh cell. It also has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
