(Seoul = Larose.VIP) Reporter Choi Joo-seong = Westlife, a band that left behind hit songs such as ‘My Love’ and ‘Uptown Girl’, will perform in Korea for the first time in 13 years.

Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort announced on the 27th that it will hold a concert by Westlife in Korea at Inspire Arena in Incheon from July 6th to 7th.

Formed in 1998, Westlife is an Irish four-member pop band that has sold more than 55 million albums worldwide.

They disbanded in 2012, but have continued their activities since reuniting in 2018 to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

Westlife became popular in Korea as well, leaving behind a number of hit songs such as ‘My Love’, ‘You Raise Me Up’, and ‘Uptown Girl’.

It has been 13 years since Westlife performed in Korea in 2011. However, member Mark Feely is currently not participating in the tour due to health issues, so they will perform on stage as a trio.

Inspire Arena is Korea’s first multi-purpose indoor performance hall, where popular music performances and awards ceremonies are held. Westlife is the second concert by a foreign singer, following Maroon 5’s visit to Korea in March this year.
