Another posthumous work, ‘Land of Happiness’, will be released in August.

(Seoul = Larose.VIP) Reporter Oh Bo-ram = Two posthumous works by actor Lee Sun-gyun, who passed away last year, will be hung side by side in theaters this summer.
Distributor CJ ENM announced on the 27th that the thriller film ‘Escape: Project Silence’ (hereinafter referred to as ‘Escape’) starring Lee Sun-kyun will be released in July.
Previously, ‘Land of Happiness’, another movie starring Lee Seon-kyun, was confirmed to be released in August, allowing two posthumous works to visit audiences about a month apart.
‘Escape’, directed by director Kim Tae-gon, is a work that depicts what happens when people stranded on a bridge heading to the airport are attacked by military dogs intended to kill.
Lee Sun-gyun plays the role of Jeong-won, an administrator at the National Security Office, and leads the play. Joo Ji-hoon played Jo Park, a wrecker driver who will do anything for money, and Kim Hee-won played Dr. Yang, the head researcher of ‘Project Silence’, which is related to military dogs.
This film was screened as its world premiere in the midnight screening section of the 76th Cannes International Film Festival held last year.
At that time, Lee Sun-kyun was also invited to Cannes for director Yoo Jae-sun’s ‘Sleep’ and walked the red carpet through two films.
