Activision has confirmed that the next Call of Duty will be Black Ops 6. Activision also confirmed that Black Ops 6 will be fully revealed at a Direct presentation shortly after the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9.
Call of Duty creators began a marketing push for the next title in the popular shooter franchise last week, releasing a teaser website for the game featuring “The Truth Lies” branding. The next installment in the Black Ops series is the successor to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which was released in 2020.
Activision and Microsoft also confirmed that the Direct presentation at the Xbox Games Showcase scheduled for next month will be dedicated to Black Ops 6. According to the listing, Black Ops 6 will also be available on PS4. It is implied that the game will be released on previous generation consoles.
