Manchester United warn Siti Kimmich

A potential battle is brewing in Manchester following recent developments regarding Joshua Kimmich’s future at Bayern Munich.

The Germany international has been outstanding since joining the Bundesliga side for €7 million from RB Leipzig in 2015.

Kimmich He is approaching 400 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 42 goals in that period and also winning 84 caps for Germany.

His ability to play as a central midfielder or right-back makes the 29-year-old an attractive proposition for many potential suitors.

In England alone, Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Arsenal have all shown interest, while reports in Spain provide the latest information on Barcelona’s bid for the player and his current contract stalemate.

Kimmich has been negotiating a new contract with Bayern for some time, but nothing has been confirmed yet. And now Sport have revealed that the midfielder has turned down his latest offer due to salary issues.

The Catalan daily claims Kimmich earns around €19.5 million a year before tax, a figure Barca will find difficult to match given their ongoing financial constraints. The Blaugrana also need to move back within their salary cap and return to a 1:1 spending ratio.

With Hansi Flick’s move to Camp Nou imminent, Kimmich is reportedly interested in a move to Catalonia. But money remains an issue, leaving the door wide open for Premier League clubs to jump in.

Ratcliffe pushing for the Kimmich raid

new united Minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is known to like the player’s versatility and has identified Kimmich as the perfect midfield partner for Kobbie Mainoo ahead of the first-team squad overhaul at Ola Trafford.

There have been rumors that Pep Guardiola wants to reunite with him at City in what could be his final season at the Etihad. The Spaniard coached Kimmich for a season in Germany before heading to Manchester.

But Bayern Munich, who are trying to recruit Vincent Kompany as their new manager, remain hopeful that a deal could still be reached that would keep Kimmich at Bayern after 10 years.
