Nothing Phone 2 was released last year with Android 13 and was updated to the latest version by the end of the year. Now, the British startup led by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has released a beta version of Android 15, Google’s upcoming operating system update, which is expected to be released later this year. The company warned power users and developers that the beta version is an early build and that some features of the stable version of Nothing OS are not currently available.

Phone 2 Android 15 beta released for testers

The first Android 15 beta for the Nothing Phone 2 was released to testers earlier this week via a forum post in the Nothing community. This is the second device to receive Android 15 beta release from the company. Last week, Phone 2a users were unable to access test builds. Users should make sure their phones are running Nothing OS 2.5.5 before updating to Android 15.

Phone 2 owners will not be able to download the Android 15 beta release in the form of an over-the-air (OTA) update package. This means you don’t need to connect your phone to your computer to install the beta update. It’s also worth noting that while you can roll back to Android 14, you’ll need to back up all your data as there’s no way to do so without deleting data from your phone.

Phone 2 Android 15 Beta: How to Download

To install the Nothing Phone 2 Android 15 beta, you will need to download one of the two beta update packages through the company’s website and save them to your phone’s internal storage. You might also want to read the list of known issues with the first Android 15 beta to make sure you’re not installing it on your primary device.

  • Create a folder called typo It’s in your phone’s built-in storage.

  • Tap the Reload button to update the list in the local update tool that appears.
