The Premier League star has put Liverpool and Newcastle United in jeopardy by talking about a summer move, the Manchester City outcast has incredibly offered his services to Europe’s heavyweights and the Crystal Palace ace is in Friday’s Euro Paper Talk Including Bayern Munich, who are chasing .

Forward eye switch to Liverpool or Newcastle

Brentford striker Brian Mbomo has lined up a move to Liverpool or Newcastle by making a huge claim about his future.

Mvmo has adapted brilliantly to Premier League life since winning promotion to the top flight from Brentford in 2021.

The right winger, who has also proven his ability to shine as a centre-forward, scored nine goals and eight assists last season while developing alongside striker Ivan Toney.

Toney has missed a large part of the current campaign due to a betting ban, but this has led to Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa stepping up to replace his attacking influence.

Mvmo has an additional nine goals and six assists in 27 games, and his numbers would have been even better had he not missed several months with an ankle injury.

The 24-year-old is now back to full fitness and Toney is back from his betting ban. However, it seems unlikely that the two players will continue to work together next season.

Toney has been linked with Man Utd and Tottenham Hotspur, while Mbeumo has now spoken of the possibility of joining a ‘big club’ to qualify for European competition.

He told French media: “I spent five years at Brentford. This club has helped me develop and get me through milestones, but I want to play in the biggest competitions and at the best club.”

Liverpool transfer: Brian Mbeumo eyeing a move

“It’s tantalizing to see some big clubs taking interest in me. We will see.”

L’Equipe reports that Liverpool and Newcastle are the main clubs vying to sign Mbeumo from Brentford. This supports speculation from February that Liverpool had identified the French-born Cameroon international as a surprise replacement for Mo Salah.

If Mbeumo had the choice between Newcastle and Liverpool, he would likely choose the latter. Liverpool could offer Mbeumo Champions League football, but Newcastle will not play in Europe next season after Manchester United’s FA Cup victory dashed the Magpies’ hopes of playing in the Europa Conference League.

It is yet to be revealed how much Liverpool or Newcastle will have to pay for Mbeumo, although Brentford are expected to make a big profit.

After signing the 14-man international for €6.5m in 2019, he is now worth more than €40m (£34m).

Given that Brentford previously offered Arsenal a whopping £80m for Toni, it would not be surprising if Liverpool and Newcastle come calling this summer if they demand £40-50m for Mbeumo.
