The instant messaging platform is expected to roll out its latest interface to iOS and Android smartphone users in the future. According to feature tracker WABetaInfo, the instant messaging platform’s new layout for status updates will be released with the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.12.20. Screenshots shared by WABetaInfo show that a new, larger thumbnail for status updates has been introduced, replacing the existing small circular window. It is assumed that users will be able to catch a glimpse of status updates without having to open this thumbnail. However, according to Feature Tracker, it’s still pinned to the top of the screen below the search bar. This means that the location has not changed.

The latest WhatsApp beta update for Android also brings a new layout for the WhatsApp channel recommendation panel. The presence update page also includes the following features: Find a channel The last option where recommended channels are provided to users. It has reportedly been adjusted with an update and now has a horizontal orientation.

According to the report, these changes are available to beta testers who install the latest WhatsApp for Android beta update from the Google Play Store. It may be released to more people in the future. At the time of writing, it has not yet been released to Gadget 360 employees as it is part of the beta channel.
