Google Keep will soon have a new setting that will allow users to resize the app window on their smartphones. This development comes days after Google announced that it would be introducing new features to its note-taking app on Wear OS, including customizable pinnable tiles, a feature that started rolling out as part of the latest Android Feature Drop. Google Keep’s resizable window feature was reportedly discovered during APK teardown of the Android app.

Google Keep gains resizable Windows support

Google will soon allow users to change the Google Keep window size on Android, according to a report by Android Authority in collaboration with tipster Assemble Debug. Currently, the Google Keep window can be maximized or resized to a preset size.

The ability to resize windows at will was discovered in a post as part of an APK teardown of the Google Keep app version 5.24.222.01.90, and was enabled after “activating the flag”.

It will reportedly be accessible via a new sliding window layout that can be used to customize windows without fixed proportions. However, not all smartphones support this feature.

According to the report, devices with a pixel density higher than 600ppi may support resizable Google Keep windows. There is currently no news about the company’s plans to roll out Google Keep resizing support on Android.

Google Keep brings new tiles to Wear OS

Last week, Google announced that it was bringing tiles for the Google Keep app to Wear OS. The feature was announced at the developer conference Google I/O on May 14, but the rollout only began last week.

Users can now add multiple customizable tiles. Google says pinned notes and to-do lists are also possible. To use it, Google says, “Simply swipe through tiles and find pinned notes (such as shopping lists) to stay up to date.”
