Arsenal are frontrunners in the race to secure the lethal striker and have received a major boost after a huge rival bid was rejected. On the other hand, Liverpool attempted a move to Juventus, much to Manchester United’s relief. All from Euro Paper Talk on Wednesday.

Arsenal striker recruitment boost

RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Cesko has turned down a huge contract offer, raising the possibility of a major move to Arsenal, who TEAMtalk can confirm are favorites to sign him after making a strong offer.

Cesco, the 21-year-old is currently one of the hottest strikers in world football. The Slovenian international finished his season by scoring in all of his final seven Bundesliga games for Leipzig.

many people believe arsenal He is a clinical striker who is not good enough to destroy Manchester City. Kai Havertz has shone in the second half of the season, but could return to midfield once a new frontman arrives.

In addition to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are also monitoring Cesco. Looking further afield, Saudi Arabia’s interests are specific.

In fact, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Cesco and his camp have received a surprising offer to make the leap to the Middle East.

As for X, Romano said Sesko said “no” to an offer worth €30m per season. This equates to around £500,000 per week excluding tax.

Sesko impressed with Arsenal. He made a strong offer

With the Saudi route appearing to be closed, advancing to the Premier League may have to wait. Of course, Leipzig still have hopes of keeping Sesko and an improved contract offer is still on the table.

However, Leipzig are powerless to prevent Cesko’s departure due to the increasing release clause in his current contract. This clause is currently set at €65m/£55.3m.

Romano confirmed that Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal have all approached Sesko’s camp over the past few months.

However, it is TEAMtalk’s understanding that Sesko views Arsenal more favorably and is therefore in pole position for this move.

Sesko is said to be impressed with the project Mikel Arteta and Edu are building. Moreover, Arsenal are the only club among the three that can offer Champions League football next season.

Additionally, TEAMtalk has since learned that Arsenal have made a strong offer to Sesko in terms of the salary he will receive and the promised playing time.

Chelsea are understood to be mirroring Arsenal’s moves from behind, but it is the Gunners who are leading for the time being.

Other media reports suggest Eddie Nketiah is a player who will be pushed out to free up space and money for Sesko’s signature.

Arsenal can afford to sign Cesco without selling Nketiah first, but a one-in-one-out scenario would help the Gunners add players in other positions as well.

In addition to a new striker, a standout central midfielder is also on the club’s radar. Competition to recruit Bukayo Saka on the right side is also a priority.
