Liverpool are going all out for Kylian Mbappe and believe they have the financial plan to pull off their biggest signing of the year. The Manchester United striker is expected to hold talks this week over a €15m transfer fee and Chelsea have given the green light to sign him. Inter Milan star transfer fee €80m.

FSG have a master plan for Liverpool to secure a transfer for Kylian Mbappe.

According to reports in Spain, Liverpool are not just focused on signing Kylian Mbappe, they are prepared to pull out all the stops to make the move happen and believe they have a real chance of pulling off their biggest transfer of 2024.

The future’s MbappeOne of the biggest names in world football is once again attracting attention as he enters the final six months of his contract in Paris. And the 25-year-old insists he is yet to decide on his future and could extend his contract. PSGReports from across Europe are convinced he will move on this summer.

But claims that a blockbuster move to Real Madrid in the summer was in the works were quickly shut down by Mbappe’s entourage, and there is a growing feeling in Spain that Los Blancos know a move for the World Cup winner is now doomed to fail.

Continuing the story, Mundo Deportivo are now starting to get serious about Mbappe, claiming Real’s neglect means a surprise move to Liverpool in 2024.

According to their report, they claim Liverpool Owners FSG believe they can finance the transfer of a player who currently earns in excess of £700,000 per week and would command a sizable signing fee.

However, United believe they can find a way to offer Mbappe the salary he craves through a number of commercial deals and approvals.

Despite some strong denials, Jurgen Klopp is also said to be behind the plan, with the MD claiming United are ready to hand Mbappe the ‘king’s throne’ and most marketable global star at Anfield. In contrast, a move to the Bernabeu would imply having to compete with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinnie Junior for a place at Real.

Will Mbappe replace Mo Salah at Liverpool?

However, the article claims that Liverpool will need to make money to fund Mbappe’s transfer. Mo SalahAnd the odds of seeing both superstars on the same side are slim to none.

Salah has just 18 months left on his Liverpool contract and the 31-year-old claims FSG are wondering how much time he has left to reach the top. Salah can certainly look after himself and play until his mid-30s and beyond, but FSG know his future is at a crossroads.

As a result, it is believed they may be reluctant to give him another huge contract extension and feel the opportunity to move him on. Especially considering the £150m transfer fee and the mention of his £350,000-a-week contract being cancelled. It could also help make Mbappe’s signing a reality.

Salah’s importance to Liverpool, coupled with his outstanding goalscoring record, has earned him a deserved place in Anfield lore.

But with a new deal in place he will likely be around 34 years old and Mbappe is currently nine years younger, so it feels like the cruelest transfer decision could now be in Liverpool’s best long-term interests.

Salah’s agent was quick to jump on media speculation that Salah was ready to leave Anfield with a teasing response.

Salah has scored 204 goals in 332 appearances for Liverpool, a strike rate of 1.6 per game.

In contrast, Mbappe scored 237 goals in 284 appearances for PSG. This is one level higher per 1.19 games.

Don’t miss it: Agent Mo Salah has stirred the pot over Liverpool’s future after a big Mbappe twist prompted Anfield offers.
