Apple is reportedly preparing to announce a number of devices soon, but without much fanfare. After skipping it in 2023, the Cupertino-based tech giant will refresh its tablet lineup with new silicon, according to a press release. Along with this, there are new MacBook Air models, new color options for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, and several other models. Reports suggest that the company may launch the product. The iPad Pro, iPad Air, and MacBook Air models could be released as early as this week, but the remaining products are estimated to be announced in April 2024.
The MacRumors report, citing unnamed sources “familiar with the matter,” claimed that Apple could launch a new device this week. However, it does not reveal which products are expected to be announced or when exactly this announcement will be made. However, this is not the only report claiming that Apple is planning to launch multiple products.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said in the Power On newsletter: “Apple is preparing a lot of new hardware to launch in the coming weeks. These include improved iPad Pro models and an updated iPad Air that adds a 12.9-inch screen option, as well as a new Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard for the high-end iPad. On the Mac front, there are 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air variants with the faster M3 chip. “These new products are all being produced overseas, and Apple’s marketing team is preparing to announce them relatively soon.”
According to reports, this list could include significant upgrades to the two new iPad Pro models. The Apple tablet is expected to be equipped with the M3 chipset, OLED panel, newly designed rear camera module, horizontal front camera, and slimmer body. This is the first time in over five years that the Pro model has received such a major update.
Two new iPad Air models will also be released and will feature the M2 chipset. The biggest highlight of the lineup is said to be the company’s first 12.9-inch iPad Air model. The MacBook Air is also said to be getting a refresh in the coming weeks. New 13-inch and 15-inch models could be unveiled featuring the M3 SoC and supporting WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
In addition to this, a new Magic Keyboard with a larger trackpad, a new Apple Pencil, and new colors for iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands are also expected. This is also the time of year when the tech giant traditionally unveils new color options for its latest iPhone series. The report also mentions that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus may be the first to receive the new finish in the coming weeks.
Despite being a significant launch for the company, the latest reports suggest that no event will be held for these devices and that they will be launched through multiple press releases over the coming weeks.
