Manchester United have joined two Premier League rivals in signing the highly-rated Ajax goalkeeper but are expected to miss out on the Bayern Munich star, while Newcastle will have to spend €40 million to sign the Juventus striker. It’s all done in Euros on Thursday. Paper talk.

MAN UTD earmarked AJAX as stopper, but Bayern called off the deal.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in attacking Ajax again as they look to sign goalkeeper Diant Lamaze this summer, but a move for the Bayern Munich striker currently appears unlikely.

Lamaze, who joined Ajax from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, is currently under contract with the Dutch giants until 2028, but that hasn’t stopped rumors about his future.

Despite Ajax enduring a difficult season, the 22-year-old shot-stopper has continued to show his undoubted potential, conceding just 26 goals in 17 league games.

And Sport Bild’s Christian Falk reports: unitedArsenal and Chelsea are keen to secure his services, sparking speculation about a possible move to England for him.

The reported interest is surprising considering all three clubs made significant goalkeeping signings last summer, with Andre Onana, David Raya and Robert Sanchez joining United, Arsenal and Chelsea respectively.

However, with Onana and Sanchez failing to meet expectations this season, the Red Devils and Blues have been considering other alternatives.

The report added that Arsenal are looking at Ramaj as a potential back-up option for Aaron Ramsdale, who is expected to move on this summer.

Ajax could also cash in on the player, especially if he does not qualify for next season’s Champions League. The Dutch giants currently occupy fifth place in the Eredivisie table.

The Premier League trio will get a great opportunity to see Lamaze in action when Ajax take on Aston Villa in the last 16 of the Europa Conference League.
