The Honor Pad 9 was unveiled globally alongside the Honor MagicBook Pro 16 at the 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona in February. Now tablets are making their way to India. The official online listing for the upcoming model has revealed key details, including its design and specifications. The India variant of the Honor Pad 9 is likely to be similar to the global variant. HTech has yet to confirm the domestic release date of the tablet.

An Amazon microsite for the Honor Pad 9 has been posted in India, confirming the device’s imminent launch and availability on Amazon. HTech joint managing director CP Khandelwal (@cp_khandelwal) also added in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the tablet will come with a free Bluetooth keyboard ahead of its launch.

The Honor Pad 9’s microsite lists some key features of the Indian version of the tablet. Most details, including design, are similar to global products. The Pad 9 appears to be a large flat display with a front-facing camera placed in the center of the bezel. The rear camera module is also placed in the center of the back panel, giving it a symmetrical look.

The Honor Pad 9 features a 12.1-inch 2.5K (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness level of 500 nits. The company also confirmed that similar to the global version, the Indian version will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. It is paired with 8GB RAM along with an additional 8GB vRAM and 256GB onboard storage. The tablet runs MagicOS 7.2 and is powered by an 8,300 mAh battery.

The Honor Pad 9 is said to be very thin and has a metallic finish. The tablet is 6.96mm thick and weighs 555g. Additionally, an India launch has been confirmed in the shadow of Space. The tablet is also confirmed to feature eight speakers with two-way voice enhancement technology and background noise cancellation.
