Liverpool are planning to swoop in on Barcelona as part of a €120m double deal, Leeds are chasing the Eredivisie defender as Liam Cooper’s successor and Arsenal are ready to tempt Inter Milan with a massive swap deal.

Slot Attention receives Liverpool yellow card following Pedri’s alleged red card

Liverpool are reportedly strongly considering a summer move for Pedri this summer, amid reports that Barcelona have changed their mind about the midfielder’s future.

The La Liga giants will soon be dethroned as Spanish champions, with Real Madrid poised to snatch the crown that Xavi’s side held last season. And although the popular coach has reversed his decision to leave this summer, plans are well underway for how the Blaugrana can progress and challenge Los Blancos again next time.

With that in mind, recent reports have revealed that Barcelona are looking to sell or sell their entire first-team squad except for five of their stars – Pau Kuvarsi, Michail Payet, Gabi, Pedri and Lamine Yamal. In an effort to raise funds to help with potential rebuilds, we are offering suggestions for this summer.

However, according to Marca, that approach has now changed and it has now been decided that Pedri can indeed leave.

Spanish media claim there are a number of reasons for the change of heart about the Tenerife midfielder. That means his injury history and contract situation over the past few seasons, with his current contract set to expire in the summer of 2026.

Barca had previously sought to extend their stay but were unable to reach an agreement, and with claims the 21-year-old has not developed as initially expected, it is now believed he is open for sale.

They previously valued the 18-cap Spanish man in the €80m (£68.4m) range, but now believe an offer of around €60m (£51.3m) could persuade them to sell.

Both Arsenal and Manchester City have reportedly been linked with a move for Pedri. But Liverpool currently have the strongest links with Manchester United, who are preparing to say goodbye to free agents Thiago Alcantara and Ryan Gravenwerch following his move from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023. He is struggling to reveal himself.

Slot and new sporting director Richard Hughes are said to be seriously tempted by the prospect of bringing Pedri to Anfield, and ironically Barcelona could look to fill Thiago’s void on a free transfer following his release.

Liverpool want a smart deal for William Pacho.

No doubt Slot and Hughes will have their eyes set on Liverpool’s future alongside the many high-profile stars who shone brightly during the Jurgen Klopp era. They have either reached the final stages of their careers or are just entering the second half of their careers.

Virgil van Dijk is a prime example of this, and the towering Dutch defender has proven to be a huge factor in the success they have enjoyed under Klopp.

However, the Reds captain will turn 33 this summer and despite having an excellent season this time around, it is clear he is not getting any younger.

As a result, Hughes and Slott are said to have already started working on their succession plans, with Eintracht Frankfurt defender William Pazzo as their main target.

According to Bild, United are ready to open talks on a deal worth up to €60m (£51.3m) for the Ecuadorian.

And they claimed they could sweeten the deal by allowing the 22-year-old to officially join the Reds in the summer of 2025 after remaining on loan with the Bundesliga side next season.

Meanwhile, Van Dijk is attracting attention from several quarters amid claims that Liverpool may transfer him this summer.

Bayern Munich and upcoming Saudi side Al Qadisia are reportedly leading the chase.
