It is reported that Samsung Electronics plans to hold a Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco on January 17 and unveil the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones. There has been no official news about the flagship release date yet, but prior to this, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is said to have received certification from the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KC). It is reported that the tested terminals were produced at Samsung Electronics’ Gumi factory in Gyeongbuk and the Thai Nguyen factory in Vietnam.

According to a report by News Tomato (Korean), the Galaxy S24 Ultra, model number SM-S928N, received safety certification from the Korea Testing and Research Institute on November 20. This model number has been popping up on various certification websites, including Geekbench. It is known that KC-certified mobile phones were produced at Samsung Electronics’ Gumi factory in Gyeongbuk and the Thai Nguyen factory in Vietnam.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra was recently spotted on the BIS website with model number SM-S928B/DS. Samsung is expected to use a modified version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in its upcoming phones with overclocked GPU and CPU cores. It is said to be available in 12GB RAM + 256GB and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configurations.

Samsung is said to have equipped the Galaxy S24 Ultra with a quad rear camera unit consisting of a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor. It is expected to be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. The handset may also have a titanium frame.

According to recent reports, Samsung Electronics has decided to hold the Galaxy S24 Unpacked event on January 17 in San Francisco, California. If this turns out to be true, this will be Samsung’s initial timeline. The last Galaxy Unpack event for the launch of the Galaxy S23 series was held in February. The company will reportedly begin pre-orders for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra on the same day, and general sales will begin on January 30.

Samsung’s Galaxy S23 smartphone series was launched earlier this week, and the South Korean company’s high-end phones have seen several upgrades across all three models. What about price increases?
