Realme GT 6T was unveiled in India last week with a 4nm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip. The launch of the mobile phone marked the return of the GT series to Korea after a hiatus. Now, Realme Vice President Chase Xu has confirmed that the Realme GT 7 Pro will debut in the Indian market. It is expected to come with upgrades over the Realme GT 5 Pro. The latter was launched in China late last year. However, the flagship device has not been launched in India.

Answering user questions on why the company did not launch the Realme GT 5 Pro in India, Chase Xu confirmed that Realme will launch the GT 7 Pro in India this year. However, the exact release schedule or specifications were not revealed.

Realme GT 5 Pro was launched in China in December last year. It runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Based on this, we can assume that the Realme GT 7 Pro will go official with the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC by the end of this year. The brand is expected to unveil another GT series smartphone, the Realme GT 6, in June.

The starting price of the base 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model of Realme GT 5 Pro is CNY 3,298 (roughly Rs. 40,000). It features a 6.78-inch 1.5K (1,264×2,780 pixels) AMOLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz and a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits. It offers up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The phone features a triple rear camera unit led by a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 sensor. The front is equipped with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 camera for selfies.

Realme GT 5 Pro sports a 5,400mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

We expect to learn more about the Realme GT 7 Pro in the coming days.
